Christmas in Florida - Part II

The next day we headed to la finca (the farm) to pack up 35 boxes of avocados from Otto's parents' avocado farm in Homestead. Here was the first batch we brought in. Loading the boxes, weighing them, and getting them on the truck. The back of the truck has a lift, which is also good entertainment for the grandsons! An inquisitive iguana came to see what was going on.
This was the first time I'd seen an iguana down there, and we saw several this trip. Apparently they're prolific nowadays, as they aren't a native species and have no natural predators. After all that hard work (not so much on my part), we had some lunch. Freshly caught fried fish, and what better side dish is there at an avocado farm than guacamole? Aaron makes a mean guacamole! Tuckered out after a hard day's work, the boys took a snooze on the way back to Hollywood.
